About this book: Promoting Foreign Judgments undertakes a comparative analysis of how South African and Nigerian courts can promote the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments considering both African countries as paradigms of their respective legal traditions. In many African countries, litigants experience significant uncertainty in their attempts to enforce foreign judgments.   In conclusion then, this is a worthwhile project but executed in such a way as to make its value fairly minimal. However, if you are looking for a legal practitioner who knows something about the enforcement of foreign judgments in one of the countries covered, at least this book gives you a name as a starting-point. Is that enought? Not for : James Young.
